Research

  • The regulation and functional role of serine-threonine oncogenic kinases and Rho-small GTPases as key determinants of pro-motile phenotypic features acquisition with the subsequential gain of metastatic traits in hormone-mediated epithelial-derived tumors including human adrenocortical cancer, breast cancer and prostate cancer cellular models.
  • The deep understanding of the intricate molecular mechanisms crosslinking Rho-small GTPases with the acquired resistance to third generation-Tyrosine Kinases Inhibitors in EGFR-mutant human lung adenocarcinoma from Non-Small-Cell-Lung-Cancer cellular models.

Overall, the integrative goal of these comprehensive research projects entails the identification of emergent molecular targets to unveil novel pharmacological approaches and funnel pioneering strategies towards reshaping and broadening the spectrum of therapeutic venues, and ultimately aiming to fulfill the promise of translational and precision medicine.
