Research Focus

Since neuroinflammation plays a key role in many retinal neurodegenerative diseases, one of the important directions of the Neuroinflammation and Ocular Epigenetics Laboratory is to identify the sources of neuroinflammation. Our studies indicate that various types of programmed necrosis are among the important sources of neuroinflammation. The second important direction of our research is understanding the role of epigenetics in the development and pathology of the eye.
