Bascom Palmer Eye Institute provides state-of-the-art emergency eye care at our Miami location. Eye emergencies range from infections to trauma and, if untreated, can lead to visual loss or other health problems. Our Emergency Department is designated primarily for the emergent diagnosis, care and treatment of eye problems by a trained ophthalmic team. This team consists of board-certified physicians, ophthalmologists pursuing subspecialty fellowship training, ophthalmology residents, registered nurses, ophthalmic technicians and patient access staff.
