Groundbreaking brain tumor treatment. Experts from Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and UHealth make up one of the largest and most complete teams for brain tumor treatment in the United States. Through multi-disciplinary cooperation, our team employs state-of-the-art procedures like awake craniotomies. Also, our research has spawned promising treatments like the heat shock protein vaccine.

State-of-the-art spine care. Our comprehensive and innovative spine program offers patients the latest surgical technologies, such as minimally invasive spine, robotics, and complex spinal reconstructions. The majority of our spinal cord and spine research is powered by the groundbreaking work of our world-renowned scientists and investigators with The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis.

The latest noninvasive treatment options. Focused Ultrasound uses focused sound waves to destroy targeted brain tissue, without affecting other areas of the brain. For many patients, this safe, incision-free alternative to traditional surgery provides immediate relief from tremors associated with some movement and neurological disorders.

FDA-approved Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) system. UHealth has the first DBS program in the state of Florida to use steerable current leads and Bluetooth generators, allowing for easier patient-device interaction and more precise stimulation.

Concierge service. Patients do not have to figure it all out alone at UHealth. Patients are assigned a concierge coordinator who is there for you and your family while you are in our care.
