Rapid Tests for COVID-19 are available to patients who meet certain criteria you can discuss with our team members. If you do not qualify for a Rapid Test, your test specimen will be processed by an outside lab, with results available in 48 hours to up to a few days.

Every appointment with UHealth Clinics at Walgreens includes discussing your medications, health history, and any current health concerns with our provider measuring your vital signs such as temperature and blood pressure ; a physical assessment which includes listening to your heart and lungs.

Please note that we do not offer COVID-19 testing as a drive-through service nor is this only a testing site.

The UHealth Clinics at Walgreens provide less invasive mid-nasal (not nasopharyngeal) swab testing for COVID-19.

If you are experiencing ANY symptoms of COVID-19 infection, you can get the Rapid Test* 1 to 5 days after your symptoms began. Rapid Test results are available within 15 minutes.

If you get tested 5 to 14 days after you were physically close to someone who recently tested positive for COVID-19, you do not qualify for the Rapid Test. Your virus test specimen will be processed by an outside lab, and results will be available in as little as 48 hours or up to a few days.

If you are asymptomatic (not experiencing ANY symptoms of COVID-19 infection) and have been in contact with someone who has tested positive, you must wait at least 5 days after this exposure or after they received a positive test result to get tested at UHealth Clinics at Walgreens.

If you have health insurance, this visit to UHealth Clinics at Walgreens will be submitted to your insurance company like any other visit to a health care provider. Your financial responsibility depends on your insurance coverage.

If you are uninsured, you will be charged $99 out of pocket for this visit to UHealth Clinics at Walgreens plus the cost of administering the COVID-19 virus test. Additional costs will be charged for any additional medical services provided during this visit.

COVID-19 testing is offered in conjunction with a clinic visit.

The COVID-19 Rapid Test is available at all UHealth Clinic at Walgreens locations.

Schedule your appointment for COVID-19 testing online or by phone. Register online at our patient portal: myuhealthchart.com. Include the required health history information, and submit the consent forms. On the day of your appointment, arrive on time to your clinic location. Remain in your vehicle. Check in on your mobile phone using the patient portal. The provider will notify you when they are ready to see you. Once you receive this notification, enter the Walgreens store and make your way directly to the Pharmacy/UHealth Clinic.

Be prepared to show your ID and health insurance card, if you are insured.

If your specimen is sent to an outside lab for processing, you will receive a phone call when your test results are available.

During your visit to UHealth Clinics at Walgreens, our provider will give you an after-visit summary with instructions for what to do next.

If you tested negative for COVID-19, these instructions will explain how you can continue to stay safe and healthy during the pandemic.

If your test result is positive for COVID-19 infection, these instructions will explain how to properly self-quarantine and isolate at home to protect others from infection.

If you are experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of COVID-19, contact your health care provider or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If you are experiencing severe symptoms of COVID-19, go to the nearest hospital for treatment.

All positive test results are reported to the Florida State Health Department. If your virus test result is positive for COVID-19, you may be contacted by this agency for contract tracing to identify others who may at risk for infection due to exposure from you.
