Who we are

The Mailman Social Work Care Clinic provides psychosocial assessments and outpatient psychotherapy services to adults, children, adolescents, and families who experience various behavioral, social and emotional concerns (e.g. anxiety, depression, trauma, coping/ adjustment, family conflict, and parent-child relational problems). Families who have a child with a neurodevelopmental disability/special health care need and request our services are a special focus of this clinic.

Pediatric social work provides psychosocial services for children and families facing behavioral and adjustment difficulties related to special health care and/or developmental needs. We provide this clinical service through internal referrals, on-site or telehealth, in specific Mailman Center or Pediatric clinic/program. Social work clinicians practice in a confidential, strength-based, family-centered, and interdisciplinary environment.

What we do

A team of licensed clinical social workers and graduate social work interns provide psychosocial assessment and care for the children and families who seek our services. We provide the following evidence-based treatments:

  • Problem-solution focused therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy for depression and anxiety
  • Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Child-Parent Psychotherapy

Families with children ages 0-21.

What we cost

  • Mailman Social Work Care clinic: We accept selected insurances, excluding Medicaid.
  • Pediatric Social Work: Internal referrals.
