Donate TodayBuilding on the success of the Office of Advanced Practice Providers, the Oncology APP Fellowship Program at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, earned its third consecutive accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) through the Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Accreditation (APPFA) program. The program was highlighted for its novel preceptor ambassador program, its ability to continue to engage philanthropy support for the program, and its high retention rates.
This continued recognition reflects Sylvester’s sustained commitment to excellence in oncology education and to advancing the professional development of advanced practice providers.
Jessica MacIntyre, DNP, MBA, APRN, AOCNP®, FAANP, Associate Vice President, APPs for UHealth, developed and continues to lead the first accredited oncology nurse practitioner fellowship in Florida. Dr. MacIntyre’s national leadership, including her recent service as president of the Oncology Nursing Society, strengthens the program’s alignment with national oncology standards and best practices.
